The Zoomorphic Collection ensemble is inserted into the surrealist enclave of the Portal
work, which, as an illusionistic scenography, announces the parallel universe into which
one enters through this installation.

Orbita

Orbit is the anatomical term for the eye socket. The empty eye sockets that
I have taken as a reference for this series of monotypes belong to both human
and animal heads from sculptures found in Rome. The image of the empty niche is
a reminder of what it once sheltered and what today we can only complete through
memory and imagination, it is an invitation to participate in a forgotten memory.
